Integrative health is a state of well-being in body, mind and spirit that reflects aspects of the individual, community, and population. Here at the UU Church of Akron we work to provide resources and support for physical and mental health.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron recognizes that physical well being is an essential aspect of our spiritual lives.

Health Ministries at the UU Church of Akron periodically schedule support groups as well as educational opportunities to meet the physical and mental health needs of our congregation.  Presentations on senior care, suicide prevention, compassion fatigue, and living with mental disorders have been part of our programming.  Grief Recovery programs are offered. A team of walkers participate in the annual walk to support the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

Reproductive health resources are available through our local Planned Parenthood including emergency contraception information. If you need to make a private inquiry, please contact the minister.
