If you think about it, church is a weird institution in our culture. At a time when marketing gurus are trying to divide us up into demographics with specific buying patterns and interests, church brings generations together. The liberal church is both counter cultural and counter some of the overall trends among religion in America. We are in but not of the times we live in. How weird!
