Our Most Neglected Labor Force

Many years ago, former Vice President Hubert Humphrey spoke these words: “It was once said that the moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; and those who are in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy and the handicapped.”  This Labor Day Sunday we will explore how well we and our government are doing in that regard and learn about those who labor to care for the most needy and helpless.
