Greetings fellow congregants, 

However you celebrate or choose to spend the time off I hope this season brings joy, connection, and some relief from the stresses we’ve all experienced. 

Many of our experiences with the holidays are different, and many of their histories are rife with problematic elements. However, it’s also true that across many cultures, this time of year brings meditations on gratitude, appreciation, and what it means to be part of family and community. 

This year, I’m so thankful for the little ark that is our church as we weather a storm of epic proportions. Despite everything, the worship team, leadership, and many members just like you invested time and energy into ensuring that services, classes, and fellowship continued during the duration of this pandemic.

In addition, our dedicated building and grounds team, volunteer tech professionals, and board of trustees made it possible for several upgrades to our infrastructure. We have a cutting-edge air filter for our fellowship hall (with plans to bring that feature to the sanctuary), and every week our ability to broadcast our service improves. What’s a ministry, church member, or experience you’re thankful for this year?

In church news, our congregational meeting where we present the 2022 budget is right around the corner (December 12). Due to the complexities of counting for quorum, voting, and most importantly, the need to ensure everyone’s voice is heard and voice is counted, our meeting, as well as service on that Sunday, will be held on Zoom only.

Stay tuned for information on signing in, what tech you’ll need, and Zoom tips to make the meeting easier. Every member is important. It is so important that we attend if we are able.
