Holidays and Traditions
Imbolc
Imbolc, also called (Saint) Brigid’s Day, is a Gaelic traditional festival marking the beginning of spring. Traditionally celebrated February 1. It lands about halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.
Beltane
Beltane is the Gaelic May Day festival. Most commonly it is held about halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. First Sunday in May we welcome Spring as we dance around the Maypole!
Samhain
We gather around the fire circle as we honor our ancestors. Samhain is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of winter or “darker-half” of the year. This is about halfway between the autumn equinox and winter solstice. It is one of the four quarter days associated with Gaelic seasonal festivals, along with Imbolc, Beltane and Lughnasa.
Winter Solstice
We celebrate with our family, our clan, our loved ones, the return of the Season of Light with a Candlelight Winter Solstice.
Join us for this evening of music: an amazing array of musicians from the area, song, “Santa’s Wisdom Secrets”, warm spirits and friends. The service is taken from many Earth-Centered traditions and reflects many of the Old Religions.
Christmas Services
Join us Christmas Eve. At 4:30 pm we have the Children’s service with pagentry and all! And our 7 pm service warms us with candlelight and the chancel choir.
