In an ongoing effort to promote public safety during the COVID-19 outbreak, UUCA will be making adjustments to services and events.

Building Use
Due to the risk of community spread of COVID-19, all church meetings, functions, and rentals are either reformatted for online or postponed until further notice. We ask that no one access or use the building. Committee and other church meetings should be held using the church’s Zoom account. Please contact Carolyn at office@uuakron.org to set up a Zoom meeting. Church staff will be working from home but will stop in periodically to check mail and the building.

There will be times the building and grounds are able to be used. All group leaders organizing such events have to schedule through the office and follow our adopted COVID-19 policy.

Pastoral Support and Caring Concerns

In order to maintain the connections that make the UU Church of Akron a welcoming and loving community, we are launching two new forms of outreach.

The Pastoral Associates will be reaching out over the coming weeks to all church members and friends by phone or email just to check in. If you receive a call or an email, take a few minutes to let us know how you are doing. Rev. Kate is also available and anyone needing support from Kate should email her at minister@uuakron.org. 

The other new form of outreach is an email address to take the place of the green caring slips we use on Sunday mornings. If you have a caring concern about yourself or someone in our church community, please use this email address caringconcerns@uuakron.org to let us know. As we do with green caring slips on Sunday mornings, we will respond and do our best to offer the support you need.
