UU Church of Akron Covenant of Right Relations
Our congregational life calls forth our highest aspirations and best selves as we journey together to live our mission, pursue our visions, and uphold our UU principles.
We covenant together to create a beloved community that reflects the optimum of our collective selves.
We honor, respect, and encourage rich diversity within our congregation and we celebrate our differences.
We respect each other’s physical and emotional boundaries.
We respect each other’s privacy and autonomy.
We agree to deal with one another directly and positively with the goal of resuming right relations when disagreements occur in the life of our community.
We agree to bring our own creative thinking toward building quality relationships.
We agree, as a congregation, to provide avenues for conflict resolution to be employed when individuals or groups reach an impasse.
We make these covenants in the spirit of love to promote harmony within our faith community.
