Our church has started a Reproductive Justice Ministry. Whenever we take on a new project like this, we should examine the potential risks and pitfalls with care and intent. To be honest, “reproductive justice” is a church-friendly way of describing rights around sex and sexuality, which can lead to discomfort and conflict. In this service we will discuss how our church’s history with concepts like sexual autonomy and gender equality highlights some possible friction spots as the we work for reproductive justice both within and without our congregation and suggests some principles for working through those rough patches.
