The 8th Principle
On May 17, 2020, our congregation adopted the 8th Principle.
“We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote: journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”

Our charge is to work with all aspects of UUCA congregational ministries to develop and facilitate transformative opportunities and experiences consistent with the values of the 8th Principle by engaging with individuals and groups, UUCA committees, including finance and governance. Read our Resolution and commitment to living out the 8th Principle.
The Transformation Team consists of those that have attended Jubilee Anti-Racism Training. Currently we are building programs and creating opportunities to move us into being an Anti-Racist, multicultural church meeting the needs of our community.
Planning is underway for the next Jubilee Anti-Racism training as well as additional educational and inspirational programming. Keep your eye on our Reporter and emails. If you have any questions or what to know how you can be involved contact the Transformation Team.
